TUESDAY
Just back from christmas and our first project is a group one. The whole point was to select a designer presented to us by our tutors, then create their autumn/winter collection, as a collected group of combined fashion design and promotion students.
The morning was spent with our tutors presenting a total of 6 designers to us, we would then pick 2 we wouldn't mind working for, and from there our groups would be selected.
I picked the designer; Vetements, and was put into a group with 2 other designers and 3 promotion students - so we had a good balance.
WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY
Wednesday and Thursday was spent brain storming. None of us were particularly close, so we felt it was important for these 2 days to make sure everyone knew what everyone would be doing and was happy with the job they had been given. We also wanted the idea and message behind our collection to be clear with each other so it would be clear to others.
We decided quickly we would focus on London youth, as well as taking would we found ugly and making it beautiful - afterward that's exactly what Vetements does. So as the 3 designers, we started researching street wear:
